CLS 361 - Urinalysis and Body Fluids

Description
This course will teach the students how to assay the cellular and chemical composition of body fluids such as urine, cerebrospinal fluid, amniotic fluid, pleural fluid, semen, and synovial fluid. The clinical significance of abnormal findings will be discussed. Students will learn to handle and analyze urine and non-blood body fluids while keeping the laboratory safe from infectious agents. Add Consent: Department Consent Required. Enrollment Requirements: PREQ: BIO 265 and CHEM 230 and CHEM 235 and CLS 252 and CLS 330.
