CAD 111 - Technical Drafting I

Description
Prerequisite: MTE 1-3. Introduces technical drafting from the fundamentals through advanced drafting practices. Teaches lettering, metric construction, technical sketching, orthographic projection, sections, intersections, development, fasteners, theory and applications of dimensioning and tolerances. Includes pictorial drawing, and preparation of working and detailed drawings. Part I of II. (Credit will not be awarded for both CAD 111 and DRF 111.) Lecture 2 hours. Laboratory 2 hours. Total 4 hours per week. Class Notes: See College Catalog for course requisite(s). This is an online course with a specific meeting pattern. To participate in this class, you must be connected online during the dates and times specified in the class schedule. High-speed internet access is required. Access to a personal computer and internet are required for this online course. Please note that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, access to on-campus computers and internet may be limited. Students should plan to have access to a computer and internet outside of campus. This course may require proctored testing as described in the course syllabus. A student may request an alternative proctoring method, but the student will be responsible for any additional fees associated with the alternative method. Enrollment Requirements: Successful Completion of MTE 1, MTE 2 and MTE 3.
