(3) A study of the origins and development of the American colonies, with special attention given to those that formed the “original thirteen states.” Social, cultural and religious differences and developments as well as political and military events. An examination of the causes and events that brought about the rupture of the ties to England and the military and diplomatic history of the Revolutionary War. (F-odd)
