This course provides students an introduction to the key concepts necessary to serve as a substance use disorder counselor in their practicum placements and in the field upon graduation. These include an overview of the twelve core functions, substance abuse theories, counseling skills and standards for client documentation. Add Consent: Department Consent Required.
