4800. Methodologies in the History of Art and Visual Culture. 3 hours. Survey of major contributions to the development and practice of art history methodologies and visual arts studies (including theory and criticism). Taught as a seminar, with emphasis on research (bibliographies, papers) as well as class discussion based on weekly assigned readings and presentations. Prerequisite(s): ART 1200 or 1301, 2350, and 2360. Must have degree audit on file; sophomore or junior status within major. Class Notes: RESTRICTED COURSE. APPROVAL REQUIRED. CONTACT DEPARTMENT.
