CHS 494 - Field Studies in Public Health

Description
Supervised field experience in health & wellness settings. Class Notes: Attendance is required the first week of class, all sessions; absent students may be dropped from the roster to allow space for wait-listed students. Any anticipated conflicts should be discussed with the instructor in advance.This course has web-based meetings on select Fridays throughout the semester. The 100-hour service learning internship must be completed at an approved community site. Please review guidelines on https://www.unr.edu/public-health/students/internships. Enrollment Requirements: Prerequisite(s): General Education courses (CO1-CO8) completed; for CHS-Public Health majors: CHS 345 and senior standing; for CHS-Kinesiology majors: CHS 345 or CHS 360 and senior standing.
