HIST 3000 - United States Military: Civil War-Present

Description
A survey of the development of the American armed forces as instruments of national policy at home and abroad and as organizations reflecting American society. Topics to be examined include military organization and operations, the transformation of warfare by technology and the effect of war and preparation for war on politics and society. Enrollment Requirements: Students funded by the Saudi Arabian Cultural Mission, the Omani Embassy, and other sponsored students have restrictions for on-line courses.
