ENGL 3610 - Introduction to Linguistics

Description
An introduction to the concepts and methodology of the scientific study of language; includes language description, history, theory, variation, and semantics as well as first and second language acquisition. Formerly ENGL 4610. (Cross-listed with ENGL 8615). Class Notes: Please note that students who do not attend the first week of class will be withdrawn. Enrollment Requirements: ENGL 1160 or equivalent.
