Professor McDonald is not a good instructor. Her quizzes/exams do not follow the textbook. For example: the textbook told us that a sculpture was 11.5in tall -- her choices in the exam were "10in, 11in, 12in" - this comes after she told us that the measurements must be exact. Most of the choices are just like this. It's stressful.

Japanese Art is interesting overall don't get me wrong, you can really tell she's very passionate about the subjects. But, be prepared to write a 1000 word essay every week and on top of that, a research paper in chicago style. One thing that was really difficult is understanding the instructions and what she wants from a specific assignments.
