HST 190 - History Unlimited: A Short History Of Nearly Everything.

(ANT 190) History Unlimited is a cross listed multi-disciplinary course designed to cover the history of the universe from the Big Bang until today. To do so the course draws upon the perspectives and methods of both Anthropology and History. Course topics include the physical structure and composition of earth and how it was formed the emergence of life with particular focus on the evolution of humans the organization and development of human societies and analysis of important historical periods such as agricultural scientific and industrial revolutions. This course does not fulfill requirements towards either the history or anthropology majors. Partially satisfies University Studies II: Approaches and Perspectives/Living in a Global Society and University Studies V: Explorations Beyond the Classroom.
