SOCI 57H - Fys Soc Life 21st C Amer

Description
Fast food restaurants have become a model for everyday life. Some scholars even talk about the "McDonaldization" of the world. By that scholars mean a drive toward greater efficiency, predictability, calculability, and control by technologies in modern organizations. Sociologists call this process "rationalization," which will be examined in this course. Class Notes: NOTE: Honors Carolina students can register themselves online when their registration appointment begins. Non-Honors students will be eligible to enroll beginning November 19 during open enrollment. Instruction Mode: in person on campus learners

Great professor! Really interested in the topic and wanted his students to learn. Course was composed of four short papers and a 15 page paper that you worked on throughout the semester. Very manageable as he provides great resources. Lots of group work and a final fun group project

He is very caring and enjoys what he teaches. The course is dependent on a final 20-page term paper, with around 2 short assignments a week, and no exams/quizzes! Excellent choice for an Honors Seminar. Make sure to plan out getting the paper done, and you will be fine!
