Description
This is a class about literature and war and what each might teach us about the other. We will consider a range of texts and center our work around this question: what, if anything, can a work of art help us see or understand about war that might not be shown by other means? Students may not receive credit for both ENGL 73 and ENGL 161. Class Notes: . Instruction Mode: in person on campus learners

Dr.Lithgow is the best professor I have had and is arguably one of the best in the school. Super interesting class, with great discussions. Everybody in that room enjoyed being in the class which is a great feeling. Very accommodating and caring, and works with you on assignments and issues in the class. Fantastic teacher!

He is an amazing professor who is obviously very passionate about English. He always expects the best out of his students and pushes you to be better (or at least I felt that way). The class is entirely 3 essays on the 5-6 books read in class and participation matters. Hes so engaging; I spent hours talking to him in office hrs. 10/10 recommend
