Paroma Chatterjee

She seemed to have received high ratings here but overall I found her class fairly unenjoyable. The topics she would lecture on were quite fascinating but in your papers, simply reiterating her thoughts on the matter seemed to get you the best grades. She very much asserted herself as a "superior" and it felt like she thought you were stupid.

Professor Chatterjee taught the material in a way that made it interesting even for those not particularly interested in art history. However, I thought sometimes that class was unreasonably difficult for a 200 level course. For example, we had to do both an exam AND a paper for our midterm. It was a lot of work but overall an interesting class.
