Cynthia Gabriel

Cynthia offers a perspective on the medical system that is based in evidence but that is rarely discussed. I learned SO much. I had learned about health disparities before, but here I got to dive into the evidence. I learned about mental health care, challenging assumptions I had about what the evidence is for different therapies/medications.

WGS220 was the class that I had the hardest time with even though I signed up because I heard it was easy. The material covered in lecture helped me (personally) a little with the weekly quizzes (worth 40% of your grade) and I got overwhelmed by this course. It has more to do with the material and how it was applied, but Cynthia is a great person.
