Law and Gender --- This course examines legal constructions of gender and the distributions of opportunities and constraints tied to those constructions. Focusing on rights claims and the legal regulation of gender in the areas of marriage/divorce, employment, and sexual violence, the course has a historical dimension and explores theoretical approaches to gender equality. Enforced Pre-Requisite: No Credit in POLSCI 496 TOPIC 11 "Law and Gender".
