ARCH 678Z - Advanced Selected Topics in Architecture; Sensing Architecture: Body and Place

Description
This course is a graduate level seminar that investigates issues of perception, the senses, and a phenomenological approach to architecture and the built environment. Themes from the readings are centered on a sensual approach to engaging the environment. The structure of the course consists of seminar discussion, presentations, research, and a series of creative projects that include visual and tactile compositions in a variety of media that actively engage the ideas and texts of the seminar.
