Basic economic principles and their policy applications: economic methods and institutions, measurement of aggregate economic activity, national income determination, business cycles and economic growth, and elements of aggregate economic policies such as monetary and fiscal policy. Class Notes: Cross listed course: Econ 102 Section 04 This course is a fully online course requiring reliable internet access, computer literacy, and the ability to self-manage independent learning assignments with specified deadlines. Instructional content is synchronous using Blackboard Collaborate. A combination of video clips, narrative PowerPoint presentations, discussion board, and handwritten lecture notes are provided in Blackboard. Periodically (possibly every other week) Zoom sessions are held synchronously to review basic concepts, highlight key points, demonstrate examples, and discuss problems and questions. Homework and exams are synchronously scheduled. Student will be required to use Respondus LockDown Browser for exams.
