ENGL 642 - Victorian Literature

Description
Studies in the careers and works of major authors such as Carlyle, Tennyson, Dickens, George Eliot, Ruskin, and Wilde, with brief excursions into the works of others. Major themes include the relations of art and society and the problems of faith and doubt, science, and imagination. Enrollment Requirements: Pre-req = Graduate students in ENGL only.
