This course introduces students to core concepts basic to the art and science of nursing care which supports and promotes health. The delivery of safe, evidence-based, holistic, relationship-centered care is emphasized. Selected concepts from the domains of health and illness, health care recipients and professional nursing will be presented including an introduction to major nursing theories.
