COMM 2828 - Experiential Learning in Comm Studies

This course provides students with an opportunity to earn academic credit for a semester-long professional work experience. The experience may be paid or unpaid, part-time or full-time. The student’s position title need not be “intern”; part-time or full-time jobs, volunteer opportunities, practicums, co-ops, etc. may meet the requirements for this course so long as the student obtains professional work experience that is related to Communication Studies. This course allows students to enrich their work experience and deepen their understanding of Communication Studies course material and scholarship through reflective writings and communication with both peers and the instructor. To register, students must first obtain an appropriate position and submit the online Pre-Approval Form located here:
