COMM 1819 - Organizational Leadership

Introduction to nature of leadership, styles of leadership that are most effective, and ways in which obstacles may be overcome in groups or organizations; different approaches to qualities of leadership, role of visions and motivation, interpersonal and decision-making skills, meeting preparation and evaluation, and related communication skills. Note: this course has online proctored examinations. On campus students will complete exams at either a UI Test Center or using an online proctoring service. Off campus students will complete exams using an online proctoring service. Access to a computer with a webcam and microphone in a quiet/private location is required if using an online proctoring service to complete exams.
