BIOL 551 - Evolutionary Medicine

Description
An interpretation of health and disease issues from an evolutionary perspective. The courses will discuss the ecology of symbiotic interactions, coevolution of humans and pathogens, the impact of changes in the natural and cultural environment on health and disease, and an evolutionary and ecological perspective on reproductive health and population fertility. Prerequisite: Prior familiarity with principles of evolution and ecology is assumed.
