Introduction to how living systems work and that science is a way of learning. Course is designed for non-science majors who may be teaching science to elementary students. Emphasis will be placed on understanding central life science concepts, tools of inquiry, the basic nature of science, and practical methods for teaching scientific inquiry. A two-hour lecture, a two-hour discussion, and a one-hour laboratory period each week.
