HIST 190 - History of the Future

Description
Lecture (3 credit hours) How have scientists, engineers, and technological visionaries imagined the future? How do films and other forms of popular culture, such as comic books, fiction, and television, reveal society's hopes and anxieties about those visions? Weekly film showings, lectures, readings, and other class activities to explore these fascinating questions. Notes: This course satisfies the College of Arts & Sciences Group B: History & Cultural Change Breadth Requirement. Satisfies University "History & Cultural Change" Breadth requirement.
