BISC 602 - Molecular Biology of Animal Cells

Description
Lecture (3 credit hours) Examination of eucaryotic genes, synthesis and processing of messenger RNA and control of protein synthesis with emphasis on regulation of normal cellular growth and differentiation and the process of cancer cell transformation. Emphasis on recombinant DNA technology, monoclonal antibody production and tissue culture. PREREQ: BISC401 and BISC403 Notes: See course catalog for prereq/coreq. For Fall 2020, permission of instructor is NOT required for undergraduates. This course fulfills the BISC Lit-based course requirement.
