Catherine Laughlin

For being a writing intensive course, I think this is the best one you could take! There are 8 shorter papers, 4 regular papers, and 4 discussion posts. It can be a lot at times, but Ms. Laughlin is a fair grader and adds comments to all assignments to make your writing better. I would definitely take this class if you are an advertising major!

I took Professor Laughlin for Practical Grammar and learned a lot! I did not realize how much grammar I had forgotten but I feel so much more prepared to write in my other classes. The work is very manageable. She wants you to use external resources and does not expect you to memorize a bunch of rules. Pay attention in class and you're good!
