Description

ADVANCED DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS A continuation of MATH 3315, Differential Equations. Relying heavily on linear algebra concepts, this course covers linear systems of differential equations; introductory operator theory; existence, uniqueness and continuity of solutions; stability of equilibria; planar nonlinear systems; and the Poincaré-Bendixson Theorem. Several applications are covered to illustrate the mathematical concepts. Prerequisites: MATH 3311 and MATH 3315.
