GBEC 121 Essentials of Macroeconomics 3 class hours, 3 credits. An analysis of the forces that affect national economies including aggregate levels of production, employment and prices. Particular emphasis on the impact of government spending, taxation and monetary policy. Topics include GDP accounting, business cycles, inflation and unemployment, fiscal policy, national debt, monetary theory, and the framework of international economics. Prerequisite: GBUS 100. [Fall and Spring] SUNY-GER: Social Sciences.
