CDFS 201 - First Aid and Safety

Description
2 credit hours This is an introductory course in First Aid and Safety. This course will offer coverage to the recongnition and first aid of injuries, illnesses common to athletic, recreation and the general public. Knowledge of these areas provides the students, athletic trainer, or coach/physical education instructor with the basic tools to care for any life threatening conditions until medical help arrives. This course includes relavant field experiences. (Prerequisites: Acceptable GPA and consent of department chair).
