Yes, Laumakis is funny, but he's not a great professor. He seems to enjoy coming across as unsympathetic and offers minimal feedback on work. He monopolizes discussion even in seminars and ridicules opinions that differ from his own. He's also constantly furious at A. the eagles, B. other people's driving, or C. the world at large. Chill, dude.

The class is mainly quiz based. His class is really mainly just lecture. Participation is 20% of your grade but he is accommodating with extra assignments if you don't speak up in class. He is hard to catch for office hours & leaves campus by noon. He takes a letter grade off for 3+ grammar mistakes on papers. Harder than you think it'll be.
