ENGR 466 - Transportation Engineering

Description
Introduction to design of transportation systems. Principles of geometric roadway design, traffic modeling and forecasting, traffic signal operation and timing.  Land use, social issues, and planning for multi- modal transportation systems. Alternative transportation modes including bike, pedestrian, and mass transit. Basics of pavement design. Prerequisite: ENGR 160 and ENGR 221 with a C- or better.
