ENGR 361 - Engineering Materials

Description
An introduction to materials and their properties. This course introduces students to the fundamentals of materials theory, properties and applications. Topics include properties and applications of metals, polymers, ceramics and composite materials. The course emphasizes characteristics of materials in manufacturing operations and service, including open-ended design issues. Offered in fall semester. Prerequisites: CHEM 109 (preferred), or CHEM 111 or CHEM 115
