WRIT 2325 - Analyzing Rhetoric

Description
Students will analyze communication in different media for audience, purpose, genre, values, and other goals using varied methods of rhetorical criticism and discourse analysis. Students will learn to pose and answer a clear research question, to argue substantively, coherently, and concisely in crafted expository prose, to give and receive useful feedback on writing, and to revise their work effectively. Prerequisite or corequisite: WRIT 2302. (Recommended prerequisites for WRIT majors: WRIT 2311, Writing in the Digital Age and either WRIT 2300, Introduction to Creative Writing or WRIT 2313, Introduction to Professional Writing.) This course fulfills a Writing Rich Mission Marker.
