Dr. McDonald is an incredible professor and person. She makes seemingly difficult philosophical concepts relatable and easy to understand. I had her for a freshman seminar and afterwards made sure that I also took her PHL 154 course. She embodies the Jesuit educator. Taking a course with Dr. McDonald is like an integral part of the SJU experience.

I don't see why people like this class. She repeats the same lecture every single class. I feel like I haven't learned anything and the semester is almost over. Readings aren't necessary. She doesn't refer to them. She is the only one who ever talks and won't listen to what you have to say. Chose a different first year seminar.
