Description
This course will focus on the federal government's role in the economy and in social life and the restructuring of the American racial, gender, and ethnic systems. A central focus of the course is the development of a mass production economy and the attendant rise of consumerism and media influence that characterized the era between the wars. This course may not be offered annually.
