This course surveys the development of urban America from the 17th century in the U.S. with emphasis on architecture and city planning as well as the traditional attitudes of Americans toward the city and the country. This course may not be offered annually.

Professor Klapper was your standard college professor. You must attend class, you will have to do the readings, there are pop quizzes, and all your papers and presentations are critiqued heavily. It was a high-level course, so I went in expecting this. Watch out, because she's also ridiculously passive aggressive.
