AMS 220 - Catholic Imagination Amer Film

Description
This course will offer an intensive study of the films of John Ford, Frank Capra, Alfred Hitchcock, and Martin Scorsese. The focus of attention will be with the Catholic imagination from which each of these directors was influenced. The social, psychological, and theological themes found in each filmmaker will be considered as ways in which these directors used their personal concerns to tell popular stories. Same as TDF 220.
