ESP 3100 - Local Stewardship Action to Preserve Biodiversity

Description
This course explores biodiversity decline within local context. Spring 2018, will focus on a comprehensive effort to map vernal pool resources and document the presence/absence of amphibian species of special concern and species of greatest conservation need as identified by the NH Wildlife Action Plan. This course includes significant outreach and collaboration with diverse stakeholders. Approx. 45 hours effort will be expected per credit. Students from all disciplines are welcome. Prerequisite(s): junior/senior status or instructor approval. Pass/No Pass.
