COM 301 - Introduction to Rhetorical Research

Description
An examination of research methodologies used in the study of rhetoric from the perspective of the communication discipline. The course will focus primarily on introductory level rhetorical analysis. Emphasis is placed on students learning why and how to conduct research in the communication field, including: formulating a research question, designing a study, gathering and analyzing persuasive artifacts, and writing a research report. Students must earn a minimum grade of C- before they can advance to subsequent courses or receive credit for the course in the major. Prerequisite: COM 200 (RM, WI). Enrollment Requirements: Prerequisites: COM 200 and completion of 40 units.
