PHIL 035 - Environmental Ethics

Description
This course considers various environmental problems and ethical approaches to them. Topics will include: humanity’s place in nature, the relationship between the natural and the moral, the moral standing of nonhuman individuals and groups, and human responsibility in relation to the nonhuman. Students will engage multiple perspectives in philosophy, as well as conversation partners from other fields (e.g., religion, law, health sciences, history, literature, and film).
