Prerequisite: graduate standing, LSTD 5003 and LSAL 5113; or permission of dean. A graduate-level survey course designed to familiarize students with the fundamental principles on which the field of professional coaching is built, to explore the core competencies required for professional coaching, to understand and analyze the methods used to facilitate the coaching process, to develop the basic skills required for effective practice as a professional coach, and to understand the guidelines that govern ethical coaching activities.
