Description
Prerequisite: HIST 1483 or HIST 1493 or junior standing or permission of instructor. This course examines the working- and lower-class experience in America from the colonial period to the present. Topics include: social banditry and piracy, slavery, rise of the factory, scientific management, women and work, 19th and 20th century labor movement, radicalism, prostitution, and working-class masculinity.
