Prerequisite: Admission to Honors Program; STEM major and four years of high school math and 1 year high school chemistry, or permission of instructor. Designed for STEM majors well prepared in high school chemistry and math. Topics covered at an advanced level of understanding. The topics include: nature of solutions, equilibrium, thermodynamics, acid and base properties, kinetics and electrochemistry, gas laws and changes in state, molecular structure. Laboratory.
