Description
This course examines the role of the Supreme Court in battles over representative government and struggles for power between political institutions. Emphasis is placed on cases dealing with seperation of powers, federalism , economic regulation and property rights, elections and voting rights. Attention is given to the historical context of cases, the internal politics of the court and the political implications of court decisions. Offered periodically.
