PSY 240 - Intro To Positive Psychology

Description
Scientific study of the strengths and virtues that allow individuals and communities to thrive. Review of empirical and theoretical work as it relates to positive emotions such as contentment, happiness, hope; individual traits such as optimism, self-efficacy, compassion, resilience, integrity, hope, wisdom; and institutional strengths that foster justice, parenting, leadership, purpose and tolerance. Prerequisite(s): PSY 100 with a grade of 2.0 or higher.
