ENGRUH 4434 - Water Desalination Engineering

Description
Desalination is an important process in the management of water resources and it has a large societal, economic and environmental impact. This course will give engineering students a solid grounding in desalination and related separation processes. It presents thermal desalination and reverse osmosis as well as other emerging techniques used on both small and large scales to desalt brackish water and seawater. The course introduces to the students a design concept of desalination processes. This will prove invaluable for a future career in many areas of engineering. Enrollment Requirements: Prerequisites: ENGR-UH 2212, ENGR-UH 3411 and ENGR-UH 3432.
