Description
Evaluation of characteristics and roles of the professional nurse as provider of care, designer/manager/coordinator of care, and member of a profession, based on examination of historical, legal, theoretical, and professional trends. Social and political dimensions of professional practice and leadership. Refinement of critical thinking and therapeutic communication skills with patients and collaboration skills with members of the interprofessional team. Focus on the healthcare system's impact on providing safe, evidence-based, quality, holistic, patient-centered nursing care. PRQ: RN status. Enrollment Requirements: RN Status.
