PAFM 1190 - Fashion Industry Profile

Description
This course is an introduction to the fashion industry. It provides students with an overview of the industry structure and the interrelationships between the primary, secondary, and auxiliary markets. Students learn to recognize and interpret historical and contemporary perspectives regarding social, political, economic, environmental, and technological influences on the industry as well as the necessary terminology used within it. Open to: All university undergraduate degree students. NOTE: This course is not open to AAS Fashion Marketing and Communication majors as it significantly overlaps with the required course PAFC 1000 Fashion Industry Survey. Students who have completed PAFC 1000 may not apply credit from this course (PAFM 1190) to the degree, due to similar course content.
