Description
The course will examine the nature of racism in American society and its correlates: prejudice, discrimination, racial conflict, and racial oppression. Emphasis on the history and development of racism in the U.S. as well as its impact on minority groups. Sociological explanations for the emergence and continuation of racism. Prerequisite: SOC 300
