MEA 315 - Mathematics Methods in Atmospheric Sciences

Description
For sophomore meteorology and marine science students. A complement to MA 242 designed to prepare students for quantitative atmospheric applications. Topics include an introduction to vectors and vector calculus, atmospheric waves, phase and group velocity, perturbation analysis, fourier decomposition, matrix operations, chaos and predictability. For MY, MMY, and MRM majors only. Prerequisite: MEA 217 or MA 116 or CSC 113; Corequisite: MA 242
